The Metropolitan Opera’s free Summer HD Festival, first presented in 2009, returns with screenings of productions from the company’s Peabody and Emmy Award–winning The Met: Live in HD series, as well as a screening of the documentary The Opera House. The festival offers both long-time opera lovers and newcomers a chance to see and hear some of the Met's greatest-hit productions and opera's biggest stars. The screenings will be shown outdoors in Damrosch Park from August 27–September 6.
